PM HIP

ABOUT OUR PRODUCT

A cost-effective & high-quality solution for demanding applications

We’re constantly pushing the boundaries to find new solutions to support our customers, and most products we manufacture are bespoke.

Our process uses metallic powders formed within a metal mold and consolidated using a process called HIP (Hot Isostatic pressing). High temperature and pressure are applied to the product using an inert gas, which is applied uniformly in all directions to provide the part with isotropic properties. The process offers many benefits and has become a high-performance alternative to conventional metal forming and manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, and sintering.

It’s possible to manufacture bimetallic or composite products by layering metal powders and adding material to solid conventionally manufactured metal parts. Performance advantages can be gained by exploiting the different properties of the materials used.

We can manufacture near-net-shape products to increase material usage, reduce waste, reduce machining and welding, save CO2, and make parts more sustainable and cost-effective. Simple shapes such as round, tubular, or flat bars can also be manufactured for further processing, machining, rolling, and forging.
