Our Founder, John Schofield, has a successful manufacturing career spanning over 20 years of experience in Metals & Component Manufacturing and has worked at Board level for the last 15 years achieving significant profitable growth and developing materials innovation, new products, and processes. During this time, John was approached by a leading OEM customer to help improve product quality performance. Using his experience in investment casting, forging processes, and super-alloy materials, he was involved in developing a PM-HIP strategy to produce a high-integrity component to provide a solution for the customer. As a result, John saw the greater potential benefits of powder metallurgy and its extensive application and, in 2022, founded Acantecs Limited.
